This is a class on belt making! Basic belt making will include tooling, buckstitching, sewing, edging and coloring. Students will complete a belt to keep.
This class is at our NEW leather studio in the old Eve's Sweets building.
Supplies will be provided. Please bring your own tools, if you have them.
This class is 16 and up only. Please do not register with someone younger than 16 in mind.
Everyone entering the center will need an appropriate face covering at this time.

Teacher Biography - Leon Pielstick
Started leathercraft and tooling at age 10. Made my first saddle with a Tandy Kit at age 14. He has made an abundance of belts and wallets and has mentored other leather workers in leather tooling and saddle making.
Leon attended OSU and graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School. He was a practicing veterinarian in Burns until retirement and moved to John Day in 2017.
