Students will be able to create a stamped or tooled leather belt to their liking and size. Leather belt blank provided, students provide their own belt buckle.
If you have your own tools, please bring them. There will be tools available.
This class is for ages 16 and up and is for the beginner or intermediate levels.
Payments are to be made online only. Your registration will automatically be canceled if a payment is not made within 15 minutes.
Instructor Bio: Leon Pielstick
Started leathercraft and tooling at age 10. Made my first saddle with a Tandy Kit at age 14. He has made an abundance of belts and wallets and has mentored other leather workers in leather tooling and saddle making.
Leon attended OSU and graduated from Colorado State University Veterinary School. He was a practicing veterinarian in Burns until retirement and moved to John Day in 2017.
